Albacete Balompié has signed José Corpas, a winger with ample experience in professional football, for the next two seasons. Corpas will join the team pending a medical check. Corpas was formed in the lower categories of Linares before making the jump to Linares Deportivo, where he made his debut in Segunda B. His performance in the blue team opened the doors to Marbella, where he signed a great campaign in the 2017-18 season: 40 games and 9 goals that caught the attention of teams in higher categories. That summer he made the jump to professional football with UD Almería. In the Andalusian team he stayed for three seasons, accumulating 125 games and 19 goals, numbers that consolidated his growth before starting a new stage in SD Eibar. In Ipurua he became a fixed player from the first day. Five campaigns as a red and white, 207 games and 24 goals reflect his importance in the team. This last season, he also signed one of his most productive courses, with eight goals and six assists, confirming that he is still a decisive player in the final stretch of his career. In fact, Albacete suffered firsthand his goal-scoring ability, as he saw the door open against the white team. With over 300 games in Segunda División on his back - 42 of them this season - Corpas lands in Albacete to bring experience, verticality and imbalance to the band. A first move by the white team that leaves clear its intentions: to compete from the first day and take a step forward as stated by Alberto González in the last press conference before leaving for vacation. This signing is similar to that of Antonio Puertas in the same market, but last season. The winger arrived at Carlos Belmonte with the label of veteran, but quickly demonstrated his involvement with goals and work for the team. Puertas has been a key piece in the Malagueño coach's scheme, only a serious knee injury has slowed down what was a notable season for the ex-Granada or Eibar player.
