Albacete Balompié has congratulated the Walking Football delegation of the Albacete Balompié Foundation for their victory in recent competitions. The delegation, composed of cancer patients over 55 years old and integrated into the Sampo Association, has received congratulations from the Castilla-La Mancha government delegate in the province of Albacete, Pedro Antonio Ruiz Santos. The delegate had the opportunity to congratulate this collective and highlight the importance of maintaining healthy lifestyle habits and sports practice to the extent of each person's possibilities. Albacete already has a dozen cancer patients who benefit from the practice of Walking Football, a traditional football modality adapted in 2011 in the United Kingdom, where running is prohibited and physical contact is very limited. The practice of Walking Football in Albacete is an example of how sports can be an important tool to improve health and quality of life. The Albacete Balompié Foundation continues to support this collective and promote the practice of this adapted sport. The goal is to continue growing and adding more patients who can benefit from this sport modality.
